Glass Fiber Harness
Randomization
Due to inherent limitations of existing lamp sources, the common end of the harness may not be illuminated evenly. As a result, a marked difference in light intensity can exist between individual tails of a plastic fiber harness. Lucifer Lighting's glass harnesses utilize a "randomized" common end for sizes S-8 and higher. Accordingly, the single glass strands of the tails are evenly distributed around the common end to ensure tail to tail uniformity in color and intensity. End emitting glass fiber is offered in eight sizes, as below. Sizes S-1.5 and smaller are tiny fiber sizes which can be combined in harnesses with a color/ sparkle wheel for brilliantly lit star walls and ceilings. Size S-14 is a recommended standard size for Fiber Strip Light™ and Fiber Downlight™ fittings.
