Illuminator Effects
Lucifer color *sparkle* dimming wheels are accessory hardware elements which are motor driven and which must be factory fit in illuminators at the time of order placement. Illuminators other than ILQH-1 can also be fitted with two separate motor drives for dual independent control effects. Motor and gear mechanisms have been selected for low noise transmission and "jitter" free rotation during operation. Standard wheel rotation is 3 r.p.m.
Color wheels are made of borosilicate, dichroic coated glass sections which are compatible with illuminator operating temperatures. Less costly color filter substitutes are avoided in the interest of longevity and color constancy. Colors are nominal hues which may vary in production lots. Neutral density filters are offered in 3 intensities for dimming metal halide lamp sources. Color wheels are offered for 30mm and 55mm port sizes. The 30mm port size is for standard harness configurations; the 55mm port size is custom, for use with Cold Coupler only, to accomodate larger quantities and sizes of plastic fiber in illuminator port opening. Glass sections for both port sizes afford full fiber coverage for colored light transmission.
Wheel rotation may be controlled by LucitrolTM analog and digital signals which require factory installation of slave component in illuminator. Master control, optional remote accessory hardware, and touch pad control are additional hardware components to be specified and installed at project site.

Color Wheel
Choice
of 8 color segments (for illuminators with 30mm port size) or
4 color segments (for illuminators with 55mm port size). Specify
colors and color sequence when ordering illuminator as wheel is
factory fit. Refer to Specification Order Guide for ordering logic
of this wheel and all other wheel options below. Note: This model
number is for replacement color wheel only.
FOA-2
Sparkle Wheel
Perforated
metal presents randomness in illumination patterns, as for example
in frozen food illumination of ice or in a star ceiling. Specify
sparkle wheel when ordering illuminator, as wheel is factory fit.
Sparkle wheels are most effective with glass harnesses. Note: This
model number is for replacement sparkle wheel only.

Combo Wheel
Combined
color and sparkle wheel presents magical effects for star ceiling/wall
glitter. Specify combo wheel when ordering illuminator as wheel
is factory fit. Combo wheels are most effective with glass harnesses.

Dimming Wheel
For mechanical dimming of glass fiber when installed in metal halide
illuminator which cannot ordinarily be dimmed with standard control
systems. Specify dimming wheel when ordering illuminator as wheel
is factory fit. Note: This model number is for replacement dimming
wheel only.

Lucitrol™ Analog
Master
The Analog master provides a primary control interface
to allow precision adjustment of remote analog slave
units (in illuminator).
FOA-81
Lucitrol™ Analog
Touch Pad Control
The Analog Touch Pad control works in conjunction
with the FOA-80 master to provide single button control of illuminator
motor drives. The FOA-81 pad may be placed in any convenient location.
FOA-82
Lucitrol™ Analog Remote Handset
The Analog Remote Hand-set works in conjunction
with the FOA-80 master to allow free roaming control of illuminator
motor drives. Consult factory as to availability.
FOA-90
Lucitrol™ Digital DMX Master
The Digital DMX Master provides a primary control
interface (when a computer or other DMX 512 control
is unavailable)
to allow precision adjustment or synchronization of remote DMX
slave units (in illuminator). See Lucitrol DMX1 spec sheet for more
details.

Lucitrol™ Digital Touch Pad Control
The Digital Touch Pad Control works in conjuction
with the FOA-90 master to provide single button control of illuminator
motor drives.
FOA-92
Lucitrol™ Digital Remote Handset
The Digital Remote Hand-set works in conjunction
with the FOA-90 master to allow free roaming control of illuminator

Lucitrol™ Slave Receiver Board
The slave board
works in conjunction with the FOA-90 master and is factory installed
inside the illuminator housing to translate the analog
or digital
signals it receives into driver command signals for illuminator
